So this is a recipe I created. My mom used to make the weight watcher's version of this, and since it was my favorite, for a long time I started to make it as well. I'm pretty sure this was the first dish I ever made that didn't come out of a box. I altered the recipe to this one though because I don't like mushrooms and Jon doesn't like peas. This one was extremely tasty!
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 medium onion diced
11 small carrots diced
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
2 5oz cans of tuna in water
2 tbs of plain bread crumbs
2 tbs of parmesan cheese
1tsp of black pepper
6oz of wide egg noodles
DO IT:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
1) Grease small frying pan with regular cookie spray.
2) Sautee the onions and carrots in the pan on medium heat until the carrots are soft.
3) Cook the egg noodles until al le dente. Drain the noodles.
4) Add the onions, carrots, cream of chicken soup, tuna, and pepper into the drained noodles.
5) Mix well and cook until heated through.
6) Pour the mixture into a greased 8x8 pan.
7) Spread the parmesan cheese and bread crumbs on top of the casserole to make the crust.
8) Place in oven and cook until the casserole is bubbling and the bread crumbs are browning (about 12 minutes).

Teriyaki Chicken
So... I don't have a picture of this one because I keep eating it before remembering to take a picture. I'm pretty sure that this is mine and Jon's favorite recipe to date. We've had it several times. It's super easy to make and it tastes AMAZING.
A couple of tips while making this is to make it in a crock pot bag. The bag makes it easy to skim off the fat before you thicken the sauce. At the point that the chicken is done cooking, all you do is pull out the chicken, place it on a separate plate. Then pull the whole bag out with the sauce and poke a small hole in the corner to filter out the good sauce from the fat of the chicken. Then follow the recipe as before.
Also, the nutrition info is only for the sauce. One serving is about a little more than half a cup of sauce.
We like to eat it with some good minute rice :)
Oh, almost forgot the link to the actual recipe:

Chicken Noodle Egg Drop Soup
This recipe was surprisingly easy, healthy, and filling. This is one that I think I'll have to incorporate into our weekly meal schedule.
http://www.recipe.com/egg-drop-soup-with-chicken-noodles/
Oh by the way... while doing this, I'd suggest not leaning against the stove. It gets hot and causes burns on exposed tummies.
I also added extra green onion because I likeses it so much.

Lemon Crinkle Cookies
These cookies were DELICIOUS! Too bad they're 100 calories a pop... They're still amazing.

There's the recipe. I would suggest throughly rolling the cookies in the powdered sugar before you bake them.

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Dis is my favorite banana bread on the planet. It's my mom's bread machine recipe, but I altered it for the oven.
The recipe is as follows:
INGREDIENTS:
2.5 tbs butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup mashed bananas (about two bananas)
2 Large Eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
1) Preheat oven to 300 degrees if you are using a glass pan. 350 if you are using a metal pan.
2) Mix all ingredients into a bowl.
3) Grease a "bread pan"
4) Put batter into the bread pan.
5) Place bread pan in preheated oven and cook until the inside is no longer runny. It takes about an hour, but I would check it every 15 minutes, starting at 30 minutes.
6) When it's done, pull it out and let it cool.
7) ENJOY THE DELICIOUSNESS!!! (This step is mandatory)

Easy Pad Thai
This recipe ended up tasting good, but we have a couple of things we intend to do differently next time. Next time we'll actually read the instructions on how to add the chicken to it and follow it properly. We'll also only use a single recipe for it. We tried it with too many noodles and they all just tried to stick to each other and thus it was hard for them to cook through properly. The noodles ended up being a little too stiff and they stuck together easily. Other than that this dish was delicious.

Pasta E Fagioli - Olive Garden
After we had already started this one we realized several things: 1) the recipe we were using was wrong and it didn't include the proper amount of sauce. 2) We had too many noodles 3) smelling this for an hour while it was cooking was torture. 4) We had the recipe for Olive Garden breadsticks as well, but we forgot about it until the recipe was over and then we had to scavenge for other bread sticks (settled on Jimmy Jon's bread with garlic butter)
Hint, use small shell noodles for a more cost effective meal. Also this makes A LOT of food. I'm talking that this could possibly actually fill my brothers up with a single recipe and still manage to feed the rest of the family. That's a lot of food.

Sweet and Sour Chicken
Here's my first pinterest recipe! It's one of mine and Jonny's absolute favorites. It is super easy and fun to make. (At least I think so because I like to get my hands gooey)
http://life-as-a-lofthouse.blogspot.com/2010/09/baked-sweet-and-sour-chicken-with-fried.html
There's the sweet and sour instructions. I've never tried the fried rice because the sweet and sour chicken normally fills us up all the way, but I hear that it's good.
Also: you can use flour instead of cornstarch if you want to, but it doesn't bread as well then for when you bake it and pour on the sauce.
1 serving is 4oz.

Weight Watcher's Chicken Fried Rice

That's the link to the original recipe. Just a hint though, using white rice tastes a whole lot better than brown rice... Oh and bean sprouts are good :) :)
1 serving is 1/4th of the whole recipe.
Food Fun
So... here's my first post. I've been cooking so much recently that I've decided that instead of just posting everything to facebook, it might just be nicer to post it all to a food blog. I hope you enjoy it! :)
